Because what you believe about the future affects the way you live! Some say that we shouldn't worry about eschatology doctrines. A lot of folks think I shouldn't discuss my beliefs on my radio show. I don't think they complain when the rapture today guys talk about it. It's just that my beliefs aren't real popular right now. There's
end times nonsense all over the
air-waves with little objection. But when somebody expresses an opposing
view, then all the sudden we shouldn't worry about or discuss our beliefs
about the end times. Why is it OK for the always-proven-wrong "experts" to
continue to dup people and sell their books and videos but it's not OK
for me to get people to really think about what they believe and study
the Bible for themselsves? |
What you believe about the future affects the way you live! If you know for sure that the rapture will be this year, then why waste your time voting, going to college, getting married, having kids, or building a new house or church? I was put into a reform school/children's home when I was 17. When I got out, the public school I planned on attending wouldn't accept all my credits. So I would't be able to graduate that year. So I thought I would just work the rest of that year and then go back to school the next year. But as time went by and I heard more and more rapture today guys I became more and more convinced that I didn't need to finish high school. You don't need a diploma to go up in the rapture. I'm not alone. There are many people that didn't go to college, pursue a career, have kids, etc... because they were convinced they were living in the last days. Some of them are reading this book right now. Christians used to be leaders in the culture. Arts, education and politics were dominated by Christians. Then the rapture doctrine became popular and at about the same time Christians started to retreat from the culture. Coincidence? Many
Christians don't vote. That is a shame. I personally believe it is
a sin. You could be like the good samaritan and go out of your
way a little
bit
to help someone out. It might be a little baby whose life you could
save by voting for a righteous pro-life leader. But instead you
pass on by
while reading a Tim Lahaye book. |
